Make whipped cream first thing in the morning (or the night before).
Make the chocolate sauce next. Fill a small pot a quarter high with water, and heat on low. Place the dark chocolate and milk (or half & half) in a small stainless steel bowl, and then place the bowl into the pot.
Stir frequently to evenly melt the chocolate. Once it is melted and smooth, add in one tablespoon of milk at a time until the sauce reaches the desired consistency.
Finally, add in vanilla and maple syrup. Mix well to combine.
For the French toast, whip up the eggs and milk until frothy, then add in the spices and mix well. Add a little vegetable oil to a frying pan and heat on medium fire.
As the pan is heating, soak one slice of bread on both sides and transfer to the pan. Cook until golden brown on each side.
