2cupsthinly shredded Napa cabbageor savoy or green cabbage
1carrot – julienned
1red pepper – sliced into thin strips
1yellow peppersliced into thin strips
1orange pepper – sliced into thin strips
1-2tangerinesor your choice of sweet orange – cut into small chunks
2scallions – sliced diagonally
2tbspcoarsely chopped cilantro
2tbsptoasted white sesame seeds
2tbspunsalted chopped cashews
For the dressing:
2tbspolive oil or grapeseed oil
1tbsptoasted sesame oil
2tspsoy sauceor tamari
2tbsprice vinegar
1tbspmaple syrup
Juice from the tangerine or orange
1/2tspof Season with Spice’s Spicy Japanese Seven SpiceShichimi Togarashi
Instructions
In a large salad bowl, combine the ingredients for the dressing, and whisk well.
Add in the purple cabbage, Napa cabbage, carrot, peppers, and tangerine. Toss to combine.
Top with scallion, cilantro, sesame seeds, and chopped cashews. Give everything another gentle toss. Enjoy!
Notes
If you’re planning to serve the cabbage slaw later, you can prepare the dressing separately in a small bowl and pour in the dressing only when you’re ready to serve.
