Simple Vegetable Dips

“In 2012, I want to eat healthier foods.  I want to prepare more meals at home.  I want to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.”

Just a few of your answers to the question we posed last week regarding food-related resolutions for 2012.  Easier said than done, right?  But more than reasonable with a little planning each week, and a little fun.

The best way to enjoy your daily dose of fresh vegetables with no fuss?  Dip them!

I love serving up a good mix of raw vegetables with simple, homemade dips that are absolutely delicious.  Just start with the wonderfully sweet flavor of honey and go from there.  Honey is a healthy and dynamic ingredient that complements and enhances a variety of dips.  Helping all of us keep to our resolution long past January.

I’m sharing three easy recipes here – a honey mustard in its simplest form (my favorite), a spicy honey whole grain Dijon mustard blend, and a quick dill dip to balance out the sweetness.  Try them all, have fun, and I wish every one of you success with your journey to a more healthy eating lifestyle in the New Year!
